    GHM9 Scorpion Lower is Excellent

Posted by DB on Oct 30th 2021

Major improvement over the original ghm9 lower: true ambi controls, AR parts compatibility and better, paddle-style mag release. No issues with mags dropping free (have tried magpul and cz). For compatibility, have tried several grips (Reptilia, Magpul), selectors (Radian Talon, Badger Ordnance) and triggers (CMC, LaRue), no issues. As a previous reviewer noted, the bolt release can be stiff, for me this seems to be only when no mag is inserted, and one finger is used - using index finger/support thumb works fine. Great upgrade, particularly for left-handed. I was disappointed with the ghm9 originally for lack of true ambi controls, but this has vastly improved it.

    GHM9 Lower

This is the upgrade I never knew I wanted but I'm so glad I have. The fit and finish of the receiver is excellent, and there is no play between my GHM9c upper and the Lingle lower. Additionally, Magpul mags positively lock in (I haven't tried other brands) and drop free with ease. One thing I should note is that I couldn't get the factory B&T trigger from either my OEM or Glock lower to work with the Lingle receiver, but my Timney single stage fits like a glove and functions perfectly. We should also probably hit on the aesthetics. This thing is beautiful. Also, if you're using this on a GHM9c and you pair it with a proper vertical grip, you'll essentially have a rectangular, Swiss MP5K. Win/Win.

    GHM9 Lower

Posted by Kyle on Sep 12th 2021

I bought this hopping it would run on both my APC and GHM9. However due to fitment issues I guess they have done away with fitting the APC. I got an email before the item was even on my porch. I put this on my GHM9 and it ran great. Snug fit which I liked. I have a gen one GHM9 not the Pro model. I was looking at getting the Pro lower just for the improved ergos. However the Lingle lower checks more boxes and is cheaper. Plus the advantage of what ever AR trigger and safety and grip I choose. Then the added plus of the Scorpion mags. I like the paddle mag release. Mag well is flared and makes mag swaps easy. The bolt catch is not bad. After a little lube it softened up and feel it will get easier with use. I am happy with this lower.
